Why the development-stage BESS investment window is open now

As solar and wind penetration rises, dispatchable storage moves from ancillary service to core infrastructure — and the best entry point is development stage.

Grid stability increasingly depends on dispatchable storage. As renewable penetration climbs, battery energy storage systems are transitioning from ancillary-service providers to core grid infrastructure — and the economics for development-stage BESS are at their most attractive before that repricing fully plays out.

We invest as direct equity at the point where value is created: securing grid connections, structuring offtake and optimizing dispatch. Hybrid solar-plus-storage further improves returns by sharing connection and land costs. For co-investors, the development stage offers the clearest path to outsized, infrastructure-grade returns.
